MBC 4X4 Solutions

4WD Accessories & Fitouts in Bendigo —
Done Properly, Once.

Bull bars, suspension, dual battery, snorkels, long-range tanks, drawer systems and full touring fitouts — fitted by one bloke, start to finish. Brand-agnostic across ARB, Ironman, TJM, Razlar, Safari, Airbag Man and Redarc. The same person quotes the job, sources the parts and hands the vehicle back.

MBC 4X4 Solutions is an independent 4WD workshop in Bendigo specialising in accessories and full touring fitouts. Run by Mitch Cox — Certificate III qualified mechanic, fifteen years in the industry, ten of them at ARB Bendigo. One bloke, one workshop, every build done properly.

What MBC Fits

Every 4WD Accessory On Your Touring Build — From One Bendigo Workshop

Whether it’s a single bull bar on a daily-driver Ranger or a ground-up touring fitout on a 79 Series, the

work goes through the same bench, by the same bloke. Here’s the scope.

🛡

Bull Bars & Frontal Protection

ADR-compliant bull bars, side rails and rock sliders. Brand choice across ARB, Ironman, TJM and Razlar depending on what the vehicle and the build actually call for.

🔩

Suspension & Lift kits

4×4 suspension upgrades sized to the build and the load. Old Man Emu, BP51, Ironman, Dobinsons and Airbag Man — constant-load and progressive options quoted side by side.

Dual Battery & 12V Electrical

Custom 12-volt electrical fitouts built around how you actually use the rig. Redarc DC-to-DC chargers, AGM and lithium dual battery systems, properly wired and fused.

🌊

Snorkels & Induction

Safari snorkels and equivalent fitments — sealed properly so water and dust stay outside the airbox where they belong. Done by a mechanic, not a back yarder who’ll miss the critical plumbing in the engine bay.

Long-Range Fuel Tanks

Long-range fuel tank fitting for serious touring range. Brown Davis and equivalent fitments. Plumbed, vented and filled at request before the vehicle leaves the workshop.

📦

Drawer Systems & Roof Racks

Roof rack & drawer system fitouts for tradies and tourers alike — load space organised so the tools, fridge and recovery gear all live where they should.

💡

4WD Lighting Installation

Ultravision LED bars, driving lights and work lights — wired through properly fused circuits and clean dash switching. Lighting that impresses first time, every time.

📡

UHF Radios & Comms

GME UHF radio installation — convoy comms, antenna placement and aerial fitted correctly so you’re actually heard when you key the mic. Tradies, tourers and fleets.

🧭

Full Touring Fitouts

The full build, planned and fitted in the right order. Suspension first, then armour, then 12V, then comms, then drawers — so each layer doesn’t fight the next. 79 Series, 200 Series, Ranger, HiLux and more.

The Independent Alternative

One Bloke. One Workshop. Brand-Agnostic Across The Board.

MBC isn't tied to a single supplier. That matters when you're spending $30,000 on a touring build and the bloke quoting it is paid the same either way. Mitch can quote multiple options at varying price points — entry, mid-range and premium — so you can pick what actually suits the build, not what suits the showroom.

And the same bloke who quotes the job sources the parts, fits them and hands the vehicle back. No service-counter handoff. No “the fitter who did your job left last month.” When something goes sideways 600 kilometres from anywhere three years later, you ring the same number.

Why Choose MBC

What a Bendigo 4WD independent can offer that a chain store can't

4 things that separate an independent specialist from a showroom-led accessories shop — and

why they matter on a serious 4WD build.

One Set of Hands

The bloke who quotes the build sources the parts, fits them and hands the vehicle back. Nothing is lost in translation between sales and the workshop floor.

Transparent Quoting

Three options at three price points on every build — entry, mid-range and premium. Plain-English scope. No surprise variations after the job starts.

Brand-Agnostic Advice

ARB, Ironman, TJM, Razlar, Safari, Airbag Man, Red Arc, Ultravision and GME on the bench. The brand that wins your job is the one that fits your build — full stop.

Long-Haul Aftercare

Standing behind the work three years later when something goes sideways 600 kilometres from anywhere. Ring the same number. Talk to the same bloke.

Have used Mitch at MBC 4X4 several times now after having not so pleasant experiences with other 4wd shops.

I couldn't rate Mitch highly enough!

I can't recommend this business highly enough. I've had a few winches built & installed, as well as some repair work done on my vehicles, and every time the quality and service has been outstanding.
The attention to detail, workmanship, and overall knowledge really set MBC apart. He takes the time to do things properly and makes sure everything is done right the first time, which is hard to come by these days.

Common Questions

Questions Customers Ask Before Booking

Honest answers to the questions that come up on every quote call.

How much does a 4WD fitout cost in Bendigo?

It depends on what’s going on the bench. A bull bar and a basic accessory pack might land between $5,000 and $8,000 fitted. A full touring fitout — suspension, dual battery, snorkel, drawers, lighting and comms — typically lands between $15,000 and $45,000 depending on brand mix and build complexity. Mitch quotes three options at three price points so you can pick what actually suits the build.

Are you locked to one brand like ARB or TJM?

No. MBC is brand-agnostic. Mitch works across ARB, Ironman, TJM, Razlar, Safari, Airbag Man, Red Arc, Ultravision and GME — and quotes three options at three price points so you can pick what actually suits the build, not what suits the showroom.

Do you fit a bull bar in Bendigo if I buy it elsewhere?

In most cases yes — but it’s a conversation. Mitch will tell you straight whether the bar’s any good, whether it’ll mount up cleanly to your vehicle, and whether it’s worth fitting. No surprises later.

Will accessories void my new-vehicle warranty?

Not when they’re fitted properly. Mitch is a Certificate III qualified automotive mechanic and uses ADR-compliant, manufacturer-approved fitments. Logbook servicing can also be done on the same visit to keep the warranty stamp valid.

How long does a full 4WD fitout take?

A bull bar and a basic accessory job can usually be turned around in a couple of days on the bench. A full touring fitout — suspension, 12V, snorkel, drawers, comms, lighting — runs from one to three weeks depending on parts lead times and build complexity. Tell Mitch your trip dates and he’ll give you a straight answer either way.

Do you fit out 4WDs for tradies and business fleets?

Yes. MBC fits out single tradie utes and multi-vehicle business fleets — drawer systems, lighting, dual battery, UHF, bull bars and recovery gear. See the Fleet Services page for details.

Tell Me What You're Building.

Send through what you’ve got and how you use it. I’ll quote three options at three price points and tell you straight which one I’d fit if it was mine. Call, message or fill in the form — whichever suits.
